Gill is no stranger to the paddling and coaching programs in B.C. As a competitive athlete for 12 years, she has had a multitude of successes at Western Canada and Canada Summer Games competing in the canoe events. She has represented Canada at the Pan-American Canoe Championships where she won 5 gold medals and a silver. She has also won numerous medals in National Championships events.
Following her recent retirement in 2010, Gill has turned her focus to coaching future stars. She is a coaching machine who is halfway through her Competition Development coaching course, a certified Entry Level Competitive Coach and is also a CanoeKids facilitator.
In her spare time, Gill completed her Kinesiology degree from the University of the Fraser Valley. Gill’s goal for this Western’s team is to make it a positive experience and help ensure that all athletes are putting in their best effort to help lead BC to the overall Western Canada Games Trophy.
