Motivate Canada is looking for applicants who have an opinion about active recreation, sport, and physical activity; are interested in leadership; have an interest and dedication to their community; have a desire to use sport and physical activity for social change; and are willing to share their ideas and work with other youth to come up with creative solutions to getting youth more active across the country through youth-led physical activity initiatives.

Support Ottawa River Runners Grant Application – Please Vote Today

Hello from the Ottawa River Runners:

Once again the Ottawa River Runners have entered a Grant Competition for
a chance to receive $50,000 towards our Clubhouse. This contest is being
run by the Maple Leaf Sports Entertainment Team Up Foundation Fund and
they will be awarding four $50K grants to the 4 winners. There are
currently about 70 organizations who have entered the competition and we
believe we have a very good chance at making it to the finals, if we can
garner support like we did last time in the Aviva contest.

CKC is partnering with the ORR in this application, and this clubhouse
would be a benefit to all of us in the Canadian WW community that ever
coach, judge, paddle, or race at the Pumphouse. The Clubhouse will help
expand membership and interest in the sport, and help to cement the
permanency of the facility in Ottawa.

The competition started a bit over a weeks ago so we need members of
Whitewater Ontario to vote every day until February 20th. Please see the
instructions below. You will need to register to vote. It is an
extremely fast process to register and to vote, with no confirmation
link or “captchas” to figure out.

Please encourage your friends, family, and workmates to vote for us, and
use all the social media you can to get us lots of votes.

Here’s the link
to our entry (including a promotional
video)

1) Click the link
2) Register your email address to vote and vote today

3) Revisit the site everyday, and use your registered email address and
password to login and vote, until Feb 20th 4) Top 20 will move on to be reviewed by TUF and 10 will be selected for
the next round of voting

5) Final round of public voting occurs Mar 7-16 to pick the top 4

6) Winners are revealed Mar 20th

Thanks for your support!
