AUGSBURG, GERMANY – David Ford of Edmonton advanced to the top-forty semi-final after ranking 34th overall in preliminary K1 runs at the second ICF Canoe Slalom World Cup in Augsburg, Germany. Ford will race tomorrow morning in pursuit of a top ten spot in the afternoon final.

The rest of the Canadian team did not advance. The team will race the third World Cup next week in La Seu d’Urgell, Spain. Most of the team will return to Canada to prepare for World Cups 5 and World Championships. Smedley and Daniels will stay in Europe to race the U23 World Championships to be held July 17-21 in Liptovsky Mikulas, Slovakia.
