Cowichan River Youth Festival….. An amazing weekend!

47 youth from across the province participated + 16 volunteer instructors!

Great weather, beautiful location. It was a huge success, thanks to the many instructors who volunteered to get out on the river and keep the youth safe, and push them to learn. Some huge improvements in skill by almost every youth, but most importantly, lots of fun by all involved. A big shout out to Dan Norman for all his work!

Volunteer of the Day –
Clifton Cann (Chinook Racing Canoe Club)

Clifton is the volunteer backbone of Chinook, quietly working away whether on the website, registrations, submissions, invoices and/or bookkeeping. He keeps the admin-end of the club running smoothly and up-to-date. Because of his quiet demeanor working in "the background" the volume of his contribution isn’t as readily noticeable. We wouldn’t be here without him!
Thank you so much for your hard work, Clifton! A Panago Pizza gift certificate will be mailed to you shortly.
