CKC Carding Criteria Changes

From Canoe Kayak Canada ~ The High Performance Committee and Sprint Racing Council have approved a change to the Athlete Assistance Program (AAP) Policy – Sprint (Nov 2016 – Oct 2017) based on athlete feedback.

Athletes who were selected to the Continental Qualifier Team are not required to race the carding events at NTT1. Where such an athlete did not qualify for the Olympic Games, they will be awarded double the points based on their singles event placement at NTT2 and be eligible for carding consideration. This change is intended to ensure those athletes are not penalized for missing the carding races at National Team Trials 1.

A minor edit has also been made regarding athlete eligibility as indicated in the updated document.
